Motorola Flipout lands in India at price of Rs. 15,990

Motorola Mobility, India has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Motorola Flipout, an Android 2.1 OS based phone in India. As per the date of announcement, the phone has landed in major retail mobile stores in India at a price of Rs. 15,990. Based on new Android 2.1 OS, Motorola smartphone “Flipout” is a cool choice for people who are young at heart and desire smart and advanced features in their handset. It’s Motoblur and QWERTY keypad features will handle User Interface of this handset to let it work smoothly. It is a QWERTY phone which slides out, which is why it called as Flipout.

Motorola FlipoutAndroid OS was originally developed by Google and later it became an Open Handset Alliance (OHA). It is a consortium of 50 software, hardware and telecom companies. Therefore, now the developers can design various unique applications which may be downloaded on any mobile handset. Over 70,000 applications covering games, music, and location-based services may be used. Android based Motorola Flipout will truly light this festive season. Coming on to the specifications of Motorola's Flipout, its most highlighted features revealed are its 2.8 inch wide display with 320X420 pixels resolution, HSDPA 900 / 2100 MHz network based 3G capabilities, 3.1 megapixel camera, expandable memory to upto 32GB, Wi Fi, and access to Google services.

Motorola FlipoutIt runs on 700 MHz processor and has multi-touch screen. Its homescreen features customizable widget support and almost all the social networking sites can be accesed right there. One may upload clicked pictures and made videos instantly on sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Picasa and Photobucket using Flipout. The internal memory storage of Motorola Flipout stands at 512MB ROM / 256MB RAM. Phone supports A-GPS and e-compass for easy navigation. For music lovers, there is a 3.5mm headset jack, FM Radio and for connectivity, there is USB 2.0 HS and Wi-Fi.

Messaging features of Flipout are MMS, SMS, Email in protocols as Corporate Sync, POP3, IMAP, Push Email and IM. The physical dimensions of Motorola Flipout are 67.00 x 67.00 x 17.00 mm and it weighs 120 grams. Motorola Flipout is launched in vibrant colours such as White, Licorice, Saffron, Poppy Red, Fairway Green, Brilliant Blue and Raspberry Crush colors.

Motorola Flipout to launch in November first week in India

The new Android 2.1 OS based Motorola smartphone “Flipout” will soon be out in India, most probably by first week of November. The device will also incorporate Motorola's Motoblur for handling User Interface work.Motorola Flipout is a flip phone as suggested by its name and thus boasts of a slide (also called as a flip). This function reveals the full five row QWERTY keypad when used.

There are a set of cool features in this unusual smartphone which was revealed sometime back in Singapore. It will soon be launched in other Asian countries including India. November first week is the festive time here and it will be co-incide with launch of Motorola Flipout and many more mobile handsets. In fact, pre-orders are already being taken for the phone.

The Motorola's Flipout has a 2.8 inch wide display with 320X420 pixels resolution and the handset runs at a super speed with its 700 MHz processor which has multi-touch screen with pinch-to-zoom feature. The homescreen of Motorola Flipout features customizable widget support and this is for all the social networking sites viz. Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Motorola FLIPOUT is also a 3G phone supported on HSDPA 900 / 2100 network.

There is 3.1 megapixel camera and allow its users to upload clicked pictures and made videos instantly on Facebook, MySpace, Picasa and Photobucket.The internal memory of 512MB ROM / 256MB RAM is also incorporated in the phone.The internal memory can be expanded to 32GB via a microSD card.

It gives access to Google services viz. Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps etc. plus access to many apps on Android Market. Phone supports A-GPS (assisted) and e-compass for easy navigation purpose. There is a 3.5mm headset jack, FM Radio, AAC, AAC , AAC Enhanced, AMR NB, MP3 and WMA v9 file format support. For connectivity, there is USB 2.0 HS and Wi-Fi, For messaging, there is MMS, SMS, Email (Corporate Sync, POP3, IMAP, Push Email) and Instant Messaging.

With physical dimensions of 67.00 x 67.00 x 17.00 mm and weight just 120 grams, Motorola FLIPOUT will be available in White, Fairway Green, Poppy Red, Raspberry Crush, Brilliant Blue, Licorice and Saffron colors. Priced at Rs.15,299, phone best price may differ slightly. Motorola Charm may also launch with Flipout, but nothing is certain.

Motorola enters dual SIM handset market with Motorola EX128 and Motorola EX115

The data from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reveals an astonishing fact. It brings out number of telephone users added to ever increasing telecom market in India. The number has reached to enormous figure of 17M in July, 2010.
Besides that multi/dual SIM phone market has also considerably increased in India and data shows that some 38.5% of it is captured by such dual SIM mobile phones.
Looking at the trend, even big players of handset making companies have launched dual SIM mobiles. The latest entrant in this segment is Motorola, a US-based handset maker.

Motorola EX128World renowned, Motorola has launched two dual-SIM handsets in the mid-price segment of Rs. 5,000 to Rs 6,000. The handsets are named as Motorola EX128 and Motorola EX115. The former is priced at Rs 5,990 (MRP Rs 6,990) and the latter is available at Rs 4,990 (MRP Rs 5,990) respectively.

Motorola launches five new WX range mobile phones

Motorola India has announced the launch of six new entry-level mobile phones under the WX range of the company. Motorola WX series mobiles are available at very inexpensive prices. The price range of Rs 1490 to Rs 2890 is quite an affordable one. New models features similar properties like an integrated flash light, FM Radio, conference calls, music player and more. All these phones have almost similar features but with a few exceptions.

Motorola WX181

The Moto WX181 is a candybar mobile phone with FM radio and built-in light torch. Similarly, Moto WX260 is also a candybar mobile that features WAP browser, Bluetooth, MicroSD card (2GB) and MP3 player. The Moto WX265 has the features of WX260, but is clamshell in shape. Last but not the least, are Moto WX290 and Moto WX295. One is a candybar and other is a clamshell phone. Both come with 1.8 inches displays and all the features of the other phones, plus facility of MMS and photo cameras.

Moto WX 181 has 1.5”, 128×128 pixels resolution and 65K color display. The memory is sufficient to save some 100 messages. The phone is supported on GSM 900/1800. It has MIDI ringtones format, screen-savers and wallpapers. It has 750 mAh lithium battery with 180-540 minutes talk time and 220-380 hours standby time. In India, Moto WX181’s price is Rs. 1,490.

MOTO WX 260 has a 1.8” colour display with FM radio and supports GPRS class 10. It comes with an expandable memory card slot up to 2GB. It has similar battery which can be used up to 420-620 hrs of stand time. The memory is capacious to store up to 800 phonebook entries, MIDI, MP3 ringtone formats. Moto WX260’s price is Rs. 1,849

MOTO WX265 “Flip phone” is much advanced than above two mobile phones. It has support of upto 2GB microSD cards, Bluetooth connectivity. The handset has FM Radio, GPRS Class 10 support and Mini USB connectivity, preloaded games and support MP3 ringtones. Moto WX265’s Price is Rs. 1,910. MOTO WX 295 is also a “Flip phone” but with a VGA camera. Its features are similar to WX265.

MOTO WX 290 is an advanced candy bar phone of WX series with good features like VGA camera, along with support for Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS Class 10 support and mini USB Connectivity. The display is similar to the MOTO WX265 and it also has up to 800 entries stored phonebook, a built-in FM Radio and MP3 ringtones with preloaded ringtones, MicroSD card to expand memory upto 2GB. Moto WX290’s price is Rs. 2,149

Ultra cheap mobile Motorola WX181 launched in India

Motorola India has announced the launch of its Motoyuva WX181, basic entry level mobile phone at an extremely cheap price of Rs.1499. This latest entrant of WX range is a candy bar phone with all basic features like the color display, FM radio, texting, torch light. It works on dual-band GSM 900 / GSM 1800 MHz network.

It features a 1.45 inches, 128 x 128 pixels resolution, 65K color display and sports handsfree speakerphone. It is also immensely lightweight at 65g and offers enhanced battery life of 8 hrs of talk time and 480 hours of standby time through its 750 mAh standard Li-ion rechargeable battery. On the downside, the Motoyuva WX181 handset does not have option of expandable memory. Although, its internal memory is capable to store 1MB data in form of 500 phonebook entries and 140 text messages.

The ultra-cheap mobile does not offer wireless data connection (Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, Infrared etc.) and there is no USB port for wired connection as well.In addition, entry-level Motorola MOTOYUVA WX181 handset is equipped with Hinglish Predictive Text, CrstalTalk technology for clear sound, Indian ring tones, 2.5mm headset jack and wallpapers for Indian consumers.

Motorola launches new Motoyuva cheap mobiles

Motorola has launched five new cheap mobiles under its "MOTOYUVA" brand. These new models -- MOTOYUVA WX181, MOTOYUVA WX260, MOTOYUVA WX265, MOTOYUVA WX290 and MOTOYUVA WX295 are really cheap mobiles. Its price ranges between Rs 1,490 to Rs 2,890. These handsets are brought into market to make mobile communication facility available to wider customer population customized according to their range.

Motorola Mobile Devices exist in all major countries and is now venturing into India and Asia on a wide scale.
