Samsung Star II officially launched in India recently

Samsung launched its new smart phone Samsung Star GT-S5260 aka Samsung star II, the successor of Samsung GT-S5230 Star which has been a super success in market and sold over 30 million all over the world. The new phone comes with everything that the old Samsung Star lacked. The phone offers a superior social networking experience which keeps you connected with your family and friends. The personalized user interface ensures an easy and comfortable usage of phone.

The Samsung star II comes with a 3.0 inch TFT WQVGA capacitive touch screen with 256k colors and Samsung’s special Touch Wiz 3.0 user interface. The display resolution is 240 * 400 pixels. There is a remarkable Quick Type T9 Trace keyboard that makes it easy to text messages or chat with friends. The phone has the ability to determine the word the user may want to type from the movement of his fingers over the keyword. And star II has the feature that the old Samsung star lacks. The Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n is for wireless connectivity. Samsung Chat 350 to India

Samsung has announced the launch of third phone in their chat series, Samsung Chat 350 also known as Samsung chat C3500; the phone is equipped with a slider QWERTY key pad and touch screen. The phone has an attractively affordable price. The cost is expected to be around Rs/- 10,000 and there is a possibility that the price may go down again considering the tough competition in the market. The design of the phone is influenced by Samsung Champ 3300.

Samsung Chat 350 is equipped with a 2.4 inch QVGA resistive TFT touch screen with 256 colors. The display resolution is 240*320 pixels. The phone is Java MIDP 2.1 enabled and has a proprietary operating system. There is a two mega pixel camera with digital zoom which ensures high quality images and video recording. The picture resolution is 1200* 1600 pixels and the video recording is QCIF at 15fps. The phone has video player which supports MP4 and H.263 video formats. The internet options are well defined with a WAP 2.0 browser, xHTML browser and HTML browser. There are in built games in the phone and there are facilities that will allow downloading more games as per the user’s choice. The phone has an internal memory of 20 MB and an 8 GB external memory is present with the micro SD memory card support.

New Samsung Forte to launch next in India

The Korean giant, Samsung is an all-time favorite in Indian mobile phone market. Their smartphones are also sold in large numbers everywhere in the nation. Now, Samsung is about to launch their new smart phone in 2011 called Samsung Forte. The company has not officially declared the price and releasing date of the mobile yet.

The all new Samsung Forte can be defined to as the 1st 4G based mobile phone that came into market. So it is based on both CDMA as well as LTE which means Long Term Evolution (otherwise called to as 3GPP Long Term Evolution). In CDMA, it is based on 800, 1700/ 2100, 1900 bands and in LTE, it is based on 1700/2100 bands. The design is a slider model with a QWERTY keyboard. The display of the phone has got a touch screen with multi-touch; proximity sensor and light sensor are available. Since the mobile phone is based on CDMA, then speed of data transfer will be very high.
