In the past i have shared quite a number of orkut tricks now to add to the collection here's a new one. Give it a try to test it, i am sure you would like it.
If you have a friend in orkut and you want to know all female/male friends connected to your friends list, this small trick would come handy. Follow simple steps as mentioned below.
Step 1. Open the profile of your friend you wish to know male/female friendslist
Step 2. On “HER FRIENDS” or “HIS FRIENDS“ category, click on the “VIEW ALL” option
Step 3. Now here you can view all the FRIENDS of your friend..the url will be like
(http://www.orkut.co.in/FriendsList.aspx?uid=************************ )
Step 4. Now here add “&q=female” AT END and press enter or “&q=male” AT END and press enter.
eg: http://www.orkut.co.in/FriendsList.aspx?uid=************************&qfemale
Wolla, the friendslist only shows female or male friends..

Use a simple script to break the orkut album lock
UPDATE: As of last month, the below mentioned trick is not working on orkut, as Google has fixe the bug.
Orkut.com one of the leading social networking site in december 07 added a feature that was supposed to let the user restrict view access to their orkut photo album.
This feature was then extended to the video and scrapbook options. However this security feature of protecting your orkut album can be easily be compromised. A simple javascript when typed on your FireFox browser displays all your photos in your album in a thumbnail sequence. Here is the trick.
This trick works only if you are using Mozilla FireFox browser and Greasemonkey extension/addon installed on your system, and may not work on Internet explorer.
1. Go to users profile whose album is locked
2. Copy and paste the below mentioned javascript code on the address bar and hit enter
3. Wait for few second before the photos are displayed.
Its really as simple as a 1 2 3.. Enjoy, and post in your comments on the trick.

Orkut still vulnerable to the scrapbook XSS bug
Orkut.com the social networking site from Google is still very much exposed to the XSS bug. Although on orkut's official blog the orkut team states that they have fixed the bug and the new features of the orkut scrapbook cannot be exploited anymore, but the problem still seems to be at large. As per the orkut team "..We believe that 
this action has been effectively stopped" but here below I am sharing a small script that does the trick on your orkut scrapbook.
If someone copies the below script and sends you a scrap in your scrapbook, you automatically are logged out of orkut. And even if you try login again and go to your scrapbook, you are logged out again. I would suggest not trying this with your friends, because if you do so.. they might not know how to delete your scrap and could never come out of this problem.
