Nokia E5 was just announced and we just learnt that it’s a successor to the Nokia E63Nokia E63. It’s a Business phone powered by Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP2. the phone packs a 320x240 display and measures 115 mm x 58.9 mm x 12.8 mm. It weighs 126 gms and has a nice metallic finish on the rear.The mail highlights of the E5 is the Email and Instant messaging with 1 click access to SMS, EMail and IM. The QWERTY keypad is similar to the E63 and there is a dedicated keys for Home and Messaging.

Packing the latest version of S60 3rd edition, the Nokia E5 boasts a suite of homescreen features including one-touch access to your favourite contacts, and your favourite social networks. It also boasts Facebook updates direct to your contacts list, so you can always see what your friends are up to and, as it packs the latest version of Nokia Messaging, you get full Instant Messaging functionality too.

Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation is on board, as is Ovi Store and with Nokia Messaging comes access to email on the go with support for multiple email accounts, including popular mail services such as Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and for the business folk, Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

The Nokia E5’s screen is a 2.4-inch affair which is perfect for showing off snaps taken with the 5-megapixel camera. Below the screen comes two hot keys and dedicated buttons for both the homescreen and messaging and call start/answer and end buttons, the latter doubling as the on off button – like the C3.

Like the Nokia E71 and E72 before it, the Nokia E5 is a tidy little number with similar dimensions, though the E5 is approximately 2mm chubbier than it’s predecessors. On the plus side, it weighs in a whole 2 grams lighter than the E72. Before you say boo, though, did we mention the no-need-t0-charge-me-I-still-have-plenty-left battery life? Storage is taken care of with 250MB of on-board memory and support for up to 16GB on microSD.

The all new Nokia E72 boasts a host of new features including optical scrolling and a five-megapixel camera. Building on the success of the E71, the E72 takes the very best of Nokia’s most successful QWERTY device and makes it even better. The super-slim 10mm frame has been refined with some sleek design touches and inside the device is treated to a range of user interface improvements too.

The optical navigation key makes scrolling through emails a breeze and also helps bounce around the menus quickly and easily. The camera has been upgraded to a full five megapixels and heavy data users will love the support for up to 10.2Mbps connections over HSDPA. The audio jack has also had the upgrade treatment with 3.5mm jack now appearing on the top of the device.

Nokia Messaging is also on board (with a lifetime license) and now supports access and easy set up for Instant Messaging accounts including Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi, amongst others. Email set up is even easier than before through Nokia Messaging, Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

“The research shows that people are spending an average of five full days per year - equivalent to a full work week - responding to emails. Half of us (46 percent) choose email over voice or text to send and receive important information. The Nokia E72 was designed exactly with this kind of person in mind - it allows the owner to be more responsive and communicate how they want, whenever they want and wherever they are,” Nokia Vice President Ukko Lappalainen commented on the research.

The Nokia E71 is an ultra thin smartphone with QWERTY keybaord. It is a quad-band GSM with WCDMA 3G and HSDPA support. The E71 features a 2.36-inch QVGA LCD display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with video recording, WiFi 802.11g, GPS and A-GPS navigation and Bluetooth with A2DP support. It comes with 110MB built-in memory and supports MicroSD up to 8GB.

The Nokia E71 is among the best-equipped Nokia smartphones to-date. It's quick and responsive and carries a remarkable feature load for its compact size. Connectivity is at its highest with the Nokia E71 boasting every single connectivity option, which is currently available. Add the GPS receiver and the slim metallic design and you've got yourself a smartphone that walks and talks high-end.

Nokia E71 however is in for some tough BlackBerry competition. The Bold 9000 seems like a nice alternative having almost the same feature pack as the Nokia. BlackBerry's proprietary OS is not as widespread as the Symbian S60 but the business applications are all there, so the target audience won't feel deprived. The Bold also has a screen of much higher-resolution than the E71, but then, size is worth a thought.

Nokia introduces Nokia E66 slide style smartphone for business users. Like the E71, it is also a quad-band GSM phone with HSDPA and WCDMA 3G.

It features a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash, a front camera for video calls, integrated music player, and up to 110MB internal storage.

The E66 supports WiFi 802.11b/g, GPS and A-GPS for navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to its cellular support. It supports also microSD card up to 8GB.

Screening the market for a worthy alternative of Nokia E66, we almost instantly stumble upon Samsung i550w. It has almost the same specs as the Nokia, comes with a larger screen and costs less. Now, all that doesn't make your choice any easier. Nokia E66 has much better build quality and looks so much hotter.

The software goodies are also noteworthy: E66 has some extras that are normally only available to Feature pack 2 (and even some that are Eseries exclusive like the dual homescreen modes).

BlackBerry and their Pearl series are also trying to pressure Nokia E66 but at this stage they don't seem to have the ultimate challenger. It's either 3G or GPS, or some other important feature missing, to relegate RIM's devices to a lower league.

At the MWC several month ago Nokia E75 has been announced along with Nokia E55. And now Indonesia has been choosen to be the first country sell Nokia E75.
This communicator was mentioned to replace the Nokia 9300 Mini Communicator with the new ability of email client and Nokia messaging.
The operating system used by E75 is Symbian S60 and runs Nokia Mini Map and GPS Nokia Maps.
The E75 has adopted 3G network and completed with camera 3.2 megapixel autofocus.

The major novelty of the Nokia E75 is the form factor and we're about to see if this is enough for it to carve a niche out for itself in a crowded market.
There's no denying that if a side-sliding QWERTY is good enough for a teenage-targeted music phone (the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic), it must be more than at home in a full-featured business phone. Welcome to the Nokia E75.
