Cheap INQ Mini 3G & INQ Chat mobiles to be sold unlocked in India

With a clear intention to benefit from the emerging market of cheap mobile phones in India, INQ, a UK based mobile company, has released INQ Mini 3G & INQ Chat specially customized for Indian mobile users. These are unlocked versions of the mobile phones previously released, that ran on Aircel network only.



INQ Mini 3G & INQ Chat are endowed with similar features except the keypad. Chat 3G has a QWERTY keypad and Mini 3G has a normal alphanumeric keypad.

These are customized to suit Indian needs by incorporation of widgets like CricInfo and Orkut in them. This was easily done by Inq as the company specializes in multimedia handsets.

These two unlock phones named ‘INQ Mini 3G’ and ‘INQ Chat 3G’ have support for WMP and iTunes synchronization, plus access to all kind of social networking sites like Skype and instant messaging clients and Internet browser. INQ is a prestigious name and its ‘phone of the year award’ at GSMA event in Barcelona in 2009 supports the idea.



The INQ Mini 3G price in India will be Rs. 5.349 except for Maharashtra where the price is Rs. 5,599. A bit expensive, INQ Chat 3G price is Rs. 7,549 all over country except Maharashtra where it be sold at Rs.7,999.

The UK-based INQ Mobile Limited is all set to sell their two mobile handsets in their unlocked version, “INQ Mini 3G” and “INQ Chat 3G” in Indian market. Earlier in March this year, their locked versions were being sold that ran exclusively on Aircel GSM network in India.

INQ specializes in social networking features primarily in their handsets. And so, INQ Mini 3G and Chat 3G phone are armed with Twitter and Facebook applications as well as Skype, windows live messenger, widgets support and even push e-mail facility is included in Chat 3G. This will entice youth a lot and introduction of Orkut and CricInfo will tempt them more.Chat also has a QWERTY keypad easing the messaging on the phone.
