FASHION WEEK SURVIVAL: PART THREE

We're getting scarily close now..with just a few more days left of normal working hours we find ourselves turning to the lovely Dorothea for some words of wisdom. If this is what keeps this catwalk pro going during the four fashion weeks we may be tempted to invest in some goji berries and coconut water!
Part three: Dorothea Barth Jorgensen

What is your trick to staying energetic and healthy during the fashion month?:
I try to eat a lot of vegetables and goji berries, drink water and coconut water and then as much sleep as I can! To take a break from the stress I get a massage, which help you recover from the stress :)
During the fashion month, you’re running from one show to the next. What is your trick to keeping your skin clear with so many constant makeup changes?:
Skip the coffee and sugar! What do you normally eat during the fashion month? Are there any good snack foods that you keep in your handbag during the shows?: Nuts and dried fruit.
What are the top three beauty items you can’t live without during the fashion month?: Concealer, hair tie and water.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given about surviving a month of fashion shows?:
To get a pair of extremely high comfortable heels!
How do you prepare for a month of fashion shows?:
Walking and enjoy life :)

FLY BY NIGHT

Squeezing in a few editorials before her sure to be incredible show season, Dorothea Barth-Jorgensen stars in W magazine this month. We were completely enchanted by this dreamy editorial, shot by Craig McDean and with the upcoming release of the movie ‘Alice in Wonderland’ we have a suspicion we are in for a summer of gingham, bows, frills and floral!

TOP SECRET

The Victoria's Secret Show is always a major event, and with this season's new Angels on show, plus eye-popping acrobats, a choir, another staggering Heidi Klum post-baby appearance and the usual elaborate set (polka-dotted dog balloon, anyone?) the extravaganza was as unmissable as ever. We were thrilled to see Dorothea Barth Jorgensen making her debut at the show alongside VS regular Sessilee Lopez...

A DOROTHEA DOUBLE BILL!

Dorothea for Burberry Blue Label

Given Dorothea's flood of current editorials - see her in Love, Vogue Japan (both ph. Willy Vanderperre), Vogue Italia (ph. Steven Meisel), and W (ph. Paolo Roversi) all out now - it's amazing she had time to fit in anything else, but somehow she's squeezed the Burberry Blue campaign into her schedule. Photographed by Lachlan Bailey and styled by Elliott Smedley, we think she bears more than a little resemblance to Burberry girl Emma Watson in the new shots. She's also seriously in-demand in her home market of Sweden too, and with work like this new advertorial for H&M, we can see why.

CONSTANCE IS SS10’s MOST WANTED WALK!

Of the moment Constance Jablonski booked the most shows of any girl across the SS10 season, according to the Fashion Spot’s seasonal rundown. With a staggering 72 shows across the 4 cities, the appetite for Miss J shows no signs of slowing down, and after seeing her through as many as 7 shows in a single day in London we couldn’t be happier to see Constance and her killer stride out there in front. Her highlights included (New York), Paul Smith (London), (Milan), (Paris).  Other Elite girls who made the magic 10 included Charlotte di Calpyso (number 6) and Dorothea Barth-Jorgensen (number 10).

ELITE GET INTO THE FAST LANE!

There's nothing like a traffic-jammed taxi to ruin a good fashion week, but luckily Elite girls had a far sexier way of negotiating the gridlocked roads around Somerset House, thanks to Marque2, who were kind enough to lend us some of their fabulous luxury supercars to make sure our girls hit the runways in style.

DOROTHEA by MEISEL

After shooting her in his 80's homage "All Tomorrow's Parties" in June's Vogue Italia, Steven Meisel shoots Dorothea Barth Jorgensen again, this time for Alberta Ferretti's beautifully textured FW90 campaign...
