Videocon V1688 and
Videocon V1805 are good and reliable phones that have been made available by Videocon Corporation from India. The phones are set to be released on the same day on 15 January, 2010 and they will be going for around Rs 8000 and $166 respectively.

Both have Dual SIM capacity and they support both 2G network in the form of GSM and 3G network in the form of HSDPA network. The
Videocon V1688 phone comes with a stylish full touch screen display and a QWERTY keyboard while the V1805 has a 1.8 inches TFT screen. The phonebook memory can accommodate unlimited phone number entries and many other phone details like the missed, dialed and received calls. Both this phones come with internal memories and they also support micro SD cards that do not have a specified maximum limit.

The Videocon V1688 has a resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels and one camera that is of 3.2 megapixels and fully equipped with a digital zoom. The phone also supports high quality video recording. The V1805 has a resolution of 3264 by 2448 pixels and a camera of 8 megapixel. These phone models both support EDGE, GPRS, WI-FI and, 3G types of connectivity. Both the phones feature an Android version 2.1 operating system made by Google that makes it possible for the phone to have a high level of operation.

There is also a Videocon internet browser with GPS both supported by this phones. They are also java enabled and thus they support java games and application. They both also have FM radios for music lovers and MP3/ MP4 music player with and a 3.5mm audio jack. These phones come with an 1150mAh Li-ion battery. The phones battery supports a talk time of close to 4 hours and 30 minutes. It also has an 11 days stand-by time.

The
Videocon V1805 has additional features like the face detection, and a 270 degree wide shot capability. The two phones come in the color combinations of red and black. The Videocon V1688s screen makes it easy to hold and type, both are internet ready and the social networking capability allows the users to connect to their social sites such as Orkut, FaceBook and Twitter with ease. The V1688 is however seen by phone market analysts to be too expensive and does not match the competitors’ pricing and competing phone offerings. The phones are made by
