Android-based LG GT540 smartphone launched in India

There are many advanced features laid out in recently launched and moderately priced elegant smartphoneare, “LG GT540”. It is also popular as LG Optimus.

It works on Android OS v1.6 and boasts of 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with real fast zooming and panning capability.It let users enjoy advanced connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS receiver and digital compass.

The microSD card slot expandable to 16 GB is hot swappable. The battery of LG GT540 is quite big and impressive. On the downside, LG GT 540 has no flash support and video call camera and its sunlight legibility is poor. Voice dailling is missing which is strange as it is a smartphone but then due to Android version 1.6 which is a bit old, it is quite possible. LG GT540 works on quad band 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G (with HSDPA) 900 / 2100 and HSDPA 850 / 2100 networks.
