Nokia C-series cheap, dual SIM mobiles C1 & C2 to land in India soon

In the flood of affordable dual SIM mobiles in India, now the new entrants are from the most credible company, Nokia. The news is that Nokia will launch its cheap dual SIM mobile handsets under the tag of C-series by 3rd quarter of 2010. The mobile handsets called as Nokia C1 and Nokia C2 will attract many buyers as they are a great combination of good price and impressive features.

Nokia C1

They will fall in the low-price segment and will cost not more than Rs.3000. Yet, they will facilitate good multimedia functionality via in-built VGA camera, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack. The connectivity features are also quite likeable. There is a Bluetooth and GPRS integrated inside both Nokia C1 and C2.Nokia life tool services that keep users informed about health, entertainment and weather conditions is facilitated and Ovi mail can also be activated in Nokia C1 and Nokia C2.The memory is expandable via a microSD cardupto 32GB in Nokia C2 which is one of its kind in this price segment.

Nokia C2

There are some minor differences as well in the two handsets. One difference lies in their SIM functions. While Nokia C1 keeps its one SIM active at a time though switches fastly between the two, Nokia C2 manages to keep both the SIMs active at the same time. Its hot-swappable SIM is its another highlight and a feature that is first ever introduced in any of the mobiles around the world. Nokia C1 has a smashing standby of 48 days against 16.5 days of Nokia C2.

These handsets are really the most awaited and Nokia shall launch them soon and this will be followed by the launch of another unique gadget from Nokia, its "bicycle charging kit".

Nokia C1 & C2, cheap dual SIM mobiles to launch soon in India

There are many low-priced dual SIM mobiles available in Indian handset market these days. Be it Karbonn, Spice or Oscar, all the new brands are launching a number of dual SIM mobile phones at a very economical price. Now, its Nokia’s turn to follow the trend and handset-making giant is ready with its cheap dual SIM phones called as Nokia C1 and Nokia C2 to be launched in India by Q3 of 2010. These phones would give some serious competition to the newly released dual SIM handsets from Samsung. As a matter of fact, Samsung India has launched 5 new dual SIM models in India in the range of Rs.3200 to Rs.9600.

Nokia C1

Both entry-level Nokia dual SIM phones will be launched simultaneously within two-three months. Interestingly, they will be very affordable as their price will fall in the low-price segment i.e below a price tag of Rs.2500. Yet, they will have an array of impressive features.

Nokia C1 & C2 would sport a FM radio and VGA camera. Besides that, their address book would be large enough to accommodate 1,000 entries. It will also have an in-built LED torch. Luxury stuff such as Nokia Life Tools service and Ovi Mail will also be integrated in these handsets.

Nokia C2

The exact price or MOP and whether these handsets will be made at Nokia’s Chennai facility are some facts that are not yet revealed by the company.

Cheap Nokia C1 & C5 mobiles launched

The Nokia Cseries is blossoming of late and Nokia C1 was unleashed after Nokia C5. Nokia C series are the latest cheap mobile phones from Nokia brand with advanced features like dual SIM.

Nokia C1

The Nokia C1-00 will be priced between Rs.1,700 to 2,500. Nokia C1-00 is a basic entry-level dual-SIM phone that weighs around 72.9 grams. Its battery is robust with 6 weeks on standby and around 13 hours of talk time.It works on Symbian Series 3 OS. Its other cool features includes 0.3 Megapixel VGA Camera with video recording, MP3 Player and FM Radio. It supports Dual-band GSM 900/1800 MHz. Nokia C1-00 boasts double SIM functionality. Swapping is easy on it and pressing the appropriate button will switch SIMs.

Nokia C5 was the first handset to be launched in the C series and is sized at 2.2". Its QVGA screen gives a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and is capable of displaying upto 16.7 M colours. Its physical dimensions are 112 x 46 x 12.3 mm and it weighs 89.3gms.It is available in warm grey and black colors. its 5 way Navi key and two soft keys allows smooth navigation via its alpha numeric keypad.

Nokia C5

Its robust battery gives talk time of 12 h on GSM and 4.9h on WCDMA and as good is its standby time.It is 630 h on GSM and 670 h on WCDMA.

The messaging and connectivity is convenient, there is also direct access to social networking sites, Nokia messaging services like Ovi mail etc.It offers connectivity via GPRS/EGPRS MSC32 class B at maximum speed up to 298/178.8 kbps (UL/DL) and HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA, 2 Mbps. Music can be listened on its FM Radio and music player. Memory storage is 16GB.

Nokia upcoming mobile phones in India

Nokia has plans to launch a number of smartphones mainly under its C series and N series. The phones shall be launched in this year. Most of them are economically priced.These are Nokia C5, Nokia C3, Nokia C6, Nokia C1, Nokia C1-00, Nokia C1-02, Nokia E5, Nokia X2 and Nokia N8.

Nokia E5
runs on Symbian OS v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2 and this full QWERTY phone is available in Carbon Black, Chalk White, Sky Blue, Copper Brown, Silver Grey.It has a robust 1200 mAh battery and 5MP camera. It has 3G and WLAN features in configuration of HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP & DLNA technology respectively.

Nokia C5

It is expected to release in Q3 of 2010 at an approximate price of Rs.11,110.

Nokia X2 is expected to release in India by end of June 2010 with some great multimedia features at a price as low as Rs.5000. Nokia X2 is laid with features like 5MP camera and video recorder, Ovi Player PC client or Windows Media Player 11 with dual speakers and dedicated music keys.

Nokia C3

Nokia N8 running on Symbian 3 software is Nokia’s upcoming flagship handset with a 12 megapixel camera, 3.5-inch touchscreen and shall be bought at Rs.23,000 by end of 2010.

Nokia C6

Nokia C series newly launched mobile phones C1 and C2 are both Dual SIM phones. C1 series phone come in three variants Nokia C1-00, Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C1-02.

Nokia C1

The trio C1 variants are priced between Rs.2100 to 2300.Since Nokia C2 is a liitle more feature laid so is priced at a higher price of Rs.3000 -3150.

Nokia C1-00 running on Series 30 is a dual SIM device available in red, blue, grey and green colors. It has a powerful battery with stand by time of six weeks besides an array of multimedia capabilities like FM radio with 3.5mm audio jack, Flashlight.It is very pocketable with 73gm weight and can accomodate 500 phone book entries and 250 messages.

Nokia E5

Both Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C2-02 running on series 40 OS allows dual band ECSM and GSM communications and GPRS for data.C1-01 is slightly costlier than C1-02.

Nokia X2

Both C1-01 and C1-02 have bright color screens, microSD,web browsing, photography,32 GB music , Bluetooth, GPRS, Nokia Messaging and email. Nokia C1-01 snapshots with built-in VGA camera. Nokia C1-02 possess same features Ovi Mail, Chat Bluetooth, MicroSD, and music.

Nokia C2 has active dual SIM functionality in various colors. It runs on Series 40 with 1000 phone book entries and offers 16.5 days of standby time. Nokia C2 is energized by one hot-swappable battery.

Nokia N8

Nokia C series phone are expected to launch in third quarter of 2010.
