Nokia has plans to launch a number of smartphones mainly under its C series and N series. The phones shall be launched in this year. Most of them are economically priced.These are Nokia C5, Nokia C3, Nokia C6, Nokia C1, Nokia C1-00, Nokia C1-02, Nokia E5, Nokia X2 and Nokia N8.
Nokia E5 runs on Symbian OS v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2 and this full QWERTY phone is available in Carbon Black, Chalk White, Sky Blue, Copper Brown, Silver Grey.It has a robust 1200 mAh battery and 5MP camera. It has 3G and WLAN features in configuration of HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP & DLNA technology respectively.
It is expected to release in Q3 of 2010 at an approximate price of Rs.11,110.
Nokia X2 is expected to release in India by end of June 2010 with some great multimedia features at a price as low as Rs.5000. Nokia X2 is laid with features like 5MP camera and video recorder, Ovi Player PC client or Windows Media Player 11 with dual speakers and dedicated music keys.
Nokia N8 running on Symbian 3 software is Nokia’s upcoming flagship handset with a 12 megapixel camera, 3.5-inch touchscreen and shall be bought at Rs.23,000 by end of 2010.
Nokia C series newly launched mobile phones C1 and C2 are both Dual SIM phones. C1 series phone come in three variants Nokia C1-00, Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C1-02.
The trio C1 variants are priced between Rs.2100 to 2300.Since Nokia C2 is a liitle more feature laid so is priced at a higher price of Rs.3000 -3150.
Nokia C1-00 running on Series 30 is a dual SIM device available in red, blue, grey and green colors. It has a powerful battery with stand by time of six weeks besides an array of multimedia capabilities like FM radio with 3.5mm audio jack, Flashlight.It is very pocketable with 73gm weight and can accomodate 500 phone book entries and 250 messages.
Both Nokia C1-01 and Nokia C2-02 running on series 40 OS allows dual band ECSM and GSM communications and GPRS for data.C1-01 is slightly costlier than C1-02.
Both C1-01 and C1-02 have bright color screens, microSD,web browsing, photography,32 GB music , Bluetooth, GPRS, Nokia Messaging and email. Nokia C1-01 snapshots with built-in VGA camera. Nokia C1-02 possess same features Ovi Mail, Chat Bluetooth, MicroSD, and music.
Nokia C2 has active dual SIM functionality in various colors. It runs on Series 40 with 1000 phone book entries and offers 16.5 days of standby time. Nokia C2 is energized by one hot-swappable battery.
Nokia C series phone are expected to launch in third quarter of 2010.
