Hero Honda Hunk refreshed version launched in India

Hero Honda is India’s largest two wheeler making company. Hero Honda has launched the latest version of Hunk. With the tough competition in 150cc segment and other two wheeler manufacturing companies coming up with new models and versions, Hero Honda has embedded some exclusive features to the Hunk in order to make it more attractive for the customers.

This time the new version of Hero Honda Hunk has got disc brakes at the front and rear, which is a rarely found features in the bikes. Other than Dazzler and Hunk no other bike manufacturing company offers disc brakes at the front and rear.

The new Hunk with a single disc brake at front is priced at 61,310 and with disc brake at both front and rear is priced at 64,310 both ex-showroom Goa.

Hero Honda launches new Splendor Pro

India's major two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Honda Motor has just launched the new version of the company flagship model, 'Hero Honda Splendor Pro' in India. The new version is equipped with classy features like electric start, new decals, alloy-wheels, new speedometer, grab handle and side indicators. The powertrain of new bike is more or less features same as old horse, but additionally build on the latest BS-III emission norms compliant. The new Splendor Pro will compete with Bajaj Discover DTS-Si, TVS Jive, Honda CB Twister, Suzuki Slingshot and Yamaha YBR 110. It has got an excellent capabilities to deliver good mileage of around 65-70 kmpl. It has got 11 litres of fuel tank capacity along with 1litre of fuel reserve.

The latest spied Splendor Pro is painted in lime green with black and white strips. The new Hero Honda Splendor Pro is expected to be available with same eight colours, as in the existing Splendor Plus, such as blue, hi granite blue, black with purple stripe 1, black with purple stripe 2, black with purple stripe 3, black with silver stripe, cloud silver and candy red. The whole body have been painted in black colour. On the other hand, another two-wheeler players are also planning to uprade their most popular models along with cutting-edge technology including Yamaha Fazer, TVS Max, Kawasaki Ninja etc.

After getting huge demand of premium motorcycle in the Indian auto market, two-wheeler majors are rolling-out the new premium bikes in India. Suzuki Motorcycle and Hero Honda two-wheeler giants have recently launched new premium motorcycles including Suzuki Slingshot 125 and new Hero Honda Super Splendor. On the other hand, the Suzuki Slingshot offers a complete package in terms of Style, Comfort, Performance and Practicality – all combined in a 125 cc bike. The customer wanted a bike that was as frugal on fuel as a 100 cc bike, yet had the looks to match a 150 cc premium bike combined with a price point that made the product affordable yet met all requirements – which the Suzuki Slingshot offers.

New Hero Honda Super Splendor review

The all New Hero Honda Super Splendor has recently been launched in the Indian market from India's biggest two-wheeler market leader, Hero Honda Motors Limited. The company has developed the new Bike with the latest Bharat Stage-III emission norms compliant which makes it great fuel efficient motorcycle in India. Hero Honda had launched the Super Splendor in 2005 in the premium bikes segment. The price of this new bike is available with amazing tag of Rs. 45,950 (ex-showroom-Delhi). “The 125cc segment has been stagnant or even declining in the past one year, but we believe that we can grow the market. Our own expectation is to grow our own sales by 15-20 per cent in the 125cc segment. With consecutive months of four lakh-plus sales since May, our sales are moving at all-time high levels," Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.



New Hero Honda Super Splendor is powered by 124.7cc, 4 Stroke, OHC, Single Cylinder, Air Cooled engine which produces top power up 6.72 KW (9 BHP) at 7000 rpm. It has an excellent pickup with a torque accounting 10.35 Nm at 4000 rpm.The company has also provided 4 Speed Costant Mesh transmission system along with Multi Plate Wet Type of clutch. The new generation Quantum Core engine which delivers excellent fuel efficiency of around 70km/l from Hero Honda family. The fuel tank capacity of this bikes is same as the existing model, 13litres. The company claimed the top speed of this bike of around 90kmph in City.



The new Super Splendor has been packed with impressive features including Exciting new graphics design, attractive meter console, classy tail light and Stylishly new alloy wheelers which makes it much more stylish motorcycle than the existing model in the auto market. It is also available with seven different attractive shades - Vibrant Blue, Cloud Sliver, Black with flery Red, Candly Blazing Red, Black with electric purpule, Graphite Black and Heavy Grey.



The company is presently having three premium motorcycles such as Hero Honda Glamour, Glamour PGM-FI and Super Splendor in the Indian auto market. All these models are getting excellent response from the Indian buyers and will help to increase the volume of premium motorcycles market stake in the country. The company has stood at 20 percent market share in premium motorcycles from the total lakh units annually. After launching the new Super Splendor, Hero Honda is targeting to grow its sales by 15-20 per cent in the 125cc segment.

India's major two-wheeler market leader, Hero Honda has launched an upgraded version of its popular motorcycle, Hero Honda Super Splendor in India today. The new version of Super Splendor is available with attractive price tag of Rs 45,950 (ex-showroom-Delhi). The existing model of Super Splendor launched in 2005 in the 125cc segment along with Quantum Core engine capacity and enhanced features to give excellent fuel economy.

Our own expectation is to grow our own sales by about 15-20 per cent in the 125cc segment. With consecutive months of four lakh-plus sales since the month of May, our sales are moving at all-time high levels. We are looking to build on this momentum with a slew of new launches leading up to the festive season.” After launching an upgraded version of Super Splendor, the company will discontinue the old Super Splendor. Hero Honda Motors is targeting to grow the 125cc segment sales with the launches new bike. Presently, the company stood at 20 percent market share from the total 75 lakh units yearly.

According to some news sources, The new refresh version of Hunk will have same engine powered by 4 stroke, air cooled, single cylinder, OHC configuration engine, because the company has not yet informed regarding that the technical changes of this bike. But, the Indian bike lovers can expect, the new version will be equipped with stunning features. The powertrain of Hero Honda Hunk is presently produces top power output of 4PS at 8,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 12.80 Nm at 6,500 rpm from its 149.2cc engine. The new bike would be launched with digital speedo display, rear disc brake with both tubeless tyres and LED Taillights. It may also fit with another classy features like Maintenance Free Battery, New Design Front Visor, New Front Fender Design, New Graphics on Tank, New Exhaust Heat Shield Design which makes it more stylish motorcycles in the Indian auto market.
