In a fascinating revelation, Sony Ericsson CEO, Bert Nordberg has announced that the world class handset maker will launch their Windows 7 based phones by next year i.e. 2011. Sony Ericsson Android operating system based handsets are already booming the market and counts for 19% market share. The company plans to take over the market with Microsoft’s new OS, WP7 as well before its too late. Companies such as HTC, Dell, Samsung and LG have already launched handsets based on WP7 in the Indian handset market.
To a name a few, these are LG Optimus 7 & Optimus 7Q, HTC HD7, HTC 7 Mozart and Samsung Omnia 7. Hopefully, the company will expand its profits via this venture as the smartphone market is on a high in India and the graph is going up only. The feature phones market is on a decline and Sony Ericsson's intentions are quite obvious that it wants to catch up with the latest trend. It features access to popular entertainment services such as Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE Gaming and Microsoft’s Zune Player for music and video.
