The Lava A10 has a gravity sensor that allows for landscape and portrait rotation. The phonebook can accommodate up to 2000 entries with blacklist and contact backup. The network data supports GPRS/EDGE enabled with Wi-Fi Lava capacity WAP 2.0, Bluetooth with A2DP, mini USB support, 3.5mm stereo audio jack. The lava has internal memory storage of 58MB and an external storage micro SD capacity of up to 16GB. It also comes with a 3.2 MP camera of 2048 by 1536 pixels that have digital zoom and video recording properties and LED Flash.
Some of the features include a Proprietary V- operating system, single CPU chipset, can be used as a webcam, has an FM radio with radio recording that enable users to have fun at the same time be able to store some of their favorite songs, messaging capabilities of SMS, MMS and Email which allow people to connect easily, the phone also has a GPS in it. The browser that this phone uses is opera mini. LAVA A10 also supports HTML, XHTML, WAP and an MP4 video player. The phone also comes with an MP3 music player, Pre-installed games and Java capabilities that support the many applications that this phone offers such as chat and social networking applications. The Lava also comes with torchlight, Image gallery, Image editor, Privacy protection, an Indian calendar and a Yamaha PA system that contributes to the good quality sound it produces.
It comes in the color black only and has a standard Li-ion battery 1400mAh. Lava is one of India’s largest mobile phone brands currently in the emerging Indian market and even though the Lava A10 is a Smartphone, it does not really match up to the other big boys in the global market such as the I phone, Samsung galaxy and the HTC Smartphone’s.
