Blackberry Torch 2 ready to launch in India soon

After the successful launch of the Blackberry Dakota, RIM is about to launch a more powerful phone and now they are going to introduce their most powerful mobile phone, Blackberry Torch 2. Like that of Dakota, the Torch 2 will also be a slider phone. The company has not officially release the price and the date of the release. Experts say that the phone will be launched in the third quarter of 2011.

In order to make it more powerful than that of the Dakota, the Blackberry Torch 2 is equipped with a 1.2 GHz processor by replacing the 600 MHz processor. Just as the name says, the Torch 2 can boast of the higher quality display, which is even brighter just like that of torchlight. The screen resolution of the Torch 2 will be 640 x 480 pixels in 3.2 inches. The phone will be based on quad band GSM, GPRS and EDGE. It also got a tri band HSPA at 14.4 mbps.

The Blackberry Torch 2 has got an 8GB built-in storage capacity. It has a primary memory of 512 Mb. The connectivity is based on Bluetooth 2.1, USB etc. It has got GPS navigation system and NFC. It is also having a 5.1 megapixel camera with flash. The camera has got LED flash other features like auto-focus, geo-tagging, image stabilization etc. The phone is also enabled with proximity sensor, magnetometer, and accelerometer. There is no big surprise from the RIM, when it comes to the case of OS. Here also the used the Blackberry OS 6.1. The phone runs with a 1300 MAh battery. There are much more features awaiting you in this sliding model of blackberry. This includes the QWERTY keypad and also the multi-touch keypad. So you can zoom in or out your pictures using just two fingers. RIM is not at all ready to disappoint their lovers by not including the Wi-Fi feature just like what happened in the case of curve, the Torch 2 has got Wi-Fi connectivity for internet access. It has a document viewer which supports word, PowerPoint and excel. The media player will support formats like mp3, wma, wav, eAAC+ etc. The video formats that are supporting in the Blackberry Torch 2 are Divx, XviD, MP4, WMV, H.263, H.264 etc.

Blackberry was not that much favorite among the people of India, where other giants like Nokia and Sony Ericsson rules. The phones are always very expensive as they are targeting the business class customers. But, by the launch of the Torch 2 from RIM, it will be a tight competition going to be happening with the business class mobiles from Nokia like E series.
