The KY Thunder 007 mobile handset is available in India at a very competitive price tag of Rs. 3,699. Its name is quite attractive and it has been named so to tempt youngsters. The KY Thunder 007 was launched in a star-studded ceremony in Andhra Pradesh by famous Tollywood actress Manjiri Phadnis. MIRC Electronics Chief was quite confident that this mobile would be popular choice among Indian youth for its basic features and superb performance. The basic features of Onida KY Thunder 007 include dual SIM functionality (GSM only) and dual expandable memory that takes its on-board memory to an upper limit of 8GB.
The handset can ably store around 1000 messages and phonebook contacts. For photography, there is 2MP camera and local connectivity is via Bluetooth. For multimedia experience, there is audio player, video player, audio-video player and FM Radio. One may browse and surf Internet on the handset with aid of GPRS and mobile tracker feature would help in protecting cell phone against theft. There is a robust 1300mAh battery in this handset that will keep it going till 8 hours for those who love to talk.The usual PIM features include calculator, alarm clock, calendar, stop watch, reminder, to-do-list and world time. Observing stuff on its 2.4” TFT display is quite cool. These economically priced mobile handsets are being launched by Onida lately and all of them are series of youth-oriented phones. Four of them have already been launched while two are queued up. Onida has plans to launch 18 more handset models by March, 2011.
