Recently, Sharp Corporation, a global electronics company ventured in to a customer-driven segment. With launch of four new mobile phones, Sharp has now also become a mobile handset making company. Sharp, originally a Japanese company has a good name in the electronics market. Its newly launched mobiles will cover low-to-high price segment. These mobiles are named as Blink, Alice, Tango and Cyborg.
The new Sharp mobiles will expand already huge Indian handset market booming with both international and domestic mobile phone brands. The least expensive mobile is the Blink that will cost Rs. 6500 in India and Tango is the most expensive at a price tag of Rs. 18,000. These trendy mobile handsets are made to the taste of youth residing in urban and semi-urban areas of India. The Sharp mobiles will also meet the needs of price-conscious mobile buyers.
The Sharp mobile phones like the Alice is a touchscreen mobile phone costing Rs 8,500 in India and the Cyborg is priced at Rs. 17,000. The 3G version of the Tango mobile phone will also launch in India in next few months time and may cost as much as Rs. 25,000.
The features of Sharp mobile handsets are quite impressive. These include good multimedia features and connectivity features such as 3 or 5MP camera, TFT-LCD touch screens with LED illumination, Bluetooth and FM Radio. Some of them may also boast of dual SIM capabilities and quick access to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. These mobiles may also feature G-Sensor and glass-free 3D screens that can rotate at 180 degrees. These handsets are truly stylish and compact and packed with features that give value for money.
At the official launch event of Sharp mobiles, held in Delhi, Sharp unveiled all these four models namely Alice, Blink, Tango and Cyborg together and announced that these will soon be launched as early as possible in the year 2010 only. Sharp mobiles will give tough competition to big brands like Nokia, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc. in India.
