After the successful launch of Suzuki Slingshot 125 in the north India. India's one of the most popular super-bike manufacturers, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd, now has just launched the new Suzuki Slingshot 125 in south India. The new bike looks very attractive, which may capture a large number of new customers in the Indian auto market. Suzuki Motorcycle India Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said that in the initial stage the firm is aiming to sell 5,000 unit per month across the country.
The new Slingshot 125 is powered by Air-cooled, 4-stroke, 1 cylinder, SOHC engine that produces top power output of 8.5 Bhp at 7500 rpm while delivers peak torque of 10 Nm at 3500 rpm with its 124cc. After getting hug success of 100cc and 150cc segments bikes, now the company looking for the mass segment, the new 125cc Slingshot has been filled the the gap between the 100cc to 150cc class in the Indian auto market. Anu Anamika, National Head Marketing said, “The company is planning to invest up to Rs 500 crore till 2012 for the capacity expansion.”
Suzuki Motorcycle is also intending to increase its dealership network from the present 200 plus to 350 in the Indian auto market by the end of 2012. The company is known for their excellent performing superbikes across the world. On the other hand, Suzuki Motorcycle is expected to launch the new Suzuki Gladius soon in India.
