Sony Ericsson is all set to launch three varied types of new mobile handsets in Indian handset market by month of September in 2010. First in the series is Sony Ericsson’s Android based Xperia X8. The stylish and smart Xperia X8 runs on Android v1.6 and this may also be updated as per the user discretion. Xperia X8 price in India is Rs.14,000.
Sony Ericsson Cedar is the next in the series and contrastingly, it is an entry-level 3G device.This is not a smartphone and comes with features such as 3G HSPA. It also has an in-built Widget Manager 2.0 application that allows users to access social networking via the stand by screen.The Sony Ericsson Cedar is part of Sony Ericsson’s GreenHeart portfolio, which incorporate environment friendly
technologies. Cedar can transfer contacts from their previous phone to Cedar via GPRS. The company is working on integrating all available platforms with this feature. The Sony Ericsson Cedar price in India will be around Rs 6,000.
Sony Ericsson Yendo is India’s first Walkman series with full touchscreen.It was fisrt showcased during CommunicAsia 2010 and it tempted for obvious reasons. It will be available in various colors and back covers may be changed as per the need. It is also DLNA enabled device which means that media sharing on Yendo will be
possible uninterrupted.
It will be launched in the first week of October 2010 and will be priced around Rs 8,000.
