Piaggio plan to set up new plants in Indian and Vietnam

Piaggio, one of the largest three-wheeler market leader, is planning to come back with bang of new two-wheelers in the Indian auto market. The company is all set to set up new plants in India and Vietnam market. As per to source Italy based Piaggio which is manufacturing three wheeler and two wheeler and selling whole world including Asia now to set more new plant in India and Vietnam. The company is already selling three wheelers in India now is going to re-launch its popular scooter Vespa with 125cc engine. For it the company has started production.



The Piaggio Vespa 125 will be launched by the year of 2012. Piaggio is constructing new manufacturing plant in India to produce Scooters and motorcycles. Piaggio will extend its facility in Vietnam, in order to meet huge demand coming from South East Asian markets. In European market, the group will strengthen its leadership in boost motorcycle and scooters market shares for the Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands. The new Vespa LX125 comes loaded with Single-cylinder leader, 4 stroke with electronic injection.

The powertrain can produce maximum power output of 7.65 Kw at 8250 rpm and generates peak torque of 9.6 Nm at 7250 rpm. It would be fitted with both kick and electric start options. It will be incorporated with automatic transmission system. The powertrain of this scooter has got an excellent capabilities to deliver good mileage of around 45 kmpl in city. The new scooter would be fitted with 8.5 litre capacity of fuel tank along with Alloy wheels. The new addition of alloy wheels has already been debuted by the newly entrant of Scooter, TVS Wego in 110cc segment and now follow by another major auto market leaders to make their products very stylish. On the other hand, Baja Auto also planning to launch the new automatic transmission, Bajaj Blade soon in India.
