Hero Honda Motor Ltd, the country's major two-wheeler market leader, has launched an improved version of its biggest selling bike, Hero Honda Splendor on 27th September 2010. The new version called “Hero Honda Splendor Pro” which is equipped with advanced components to make it more efficient and extreme performing bike. The new bike, Splendor Pro, has features like a power start and a new generation technology machine. The company official said in a statement, the new Splendor Pro is available with two variants, which comes at an affordable price range of Rs 39,950 and 41,950 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The powertrain of new Splendor Pro has got superb capabilities to produce top power of 7.4BHP at 8000 rpm/5.5kw and delivers maximum torque of 7.95 N-m at 5000rpm with its 97.2cc displacement. Anil Dua, Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) of Hero Honda Motors Ltd said,” With the all-new Splendor Pro, we have brought in a fresh round of excitement to our customers. We are confident that Splendor Pro will further augment our growth in the deluxe segment.” The all new Splendor Pro will be available through Hero Honda's network of over 4,200 sales and service outlets across in India. Anil Dua said that we have lined up a few more exciting launches in the run-up to the festive season.
In August, Hero Honda has increased of 2.28 percent in sales to 4,24,617 units of two-wheelers from 4,15,137 units in the same month of 2009. The company is also targeting to maintaining the all-time higher monthly sales number of the past few months. The all new Splendor Pro will helps to increase the sales of Hero Honda in the upcoming months. The company has already unveiled an upgraded version of Hero Honda Super Splendor in the country. The new improved version of Splendor is available with eight royal shades. The all colours are Blue, Hi Granite Blue, Black with Purple Stripe 1, Black with Purple Stripe 2, Black with Purple Stripe 3, Black with Silver Stripe, Cloud Silver and Candy Red. On the other hand, Mahindra Cevalo, Suzuki Gladuis, TVS Apache 220, Bajaj XCD, Mahindra Diablo and TVS Max are the upcoming bikes in the country.
