Nokia C5 to be launched in July in India

Nokia C5 is the first C-series device to be launched in this month in the Indian mobile market. The handset offers a wide range of social networking services like Facebook, YouTube, Friendster, MySpace, which aims it at youth that want to stay in touch everywhere and anywhere. Nokia C5 has a bar form, 2.2-inches TFT display, 16M colors and gives 240x320 pixel resolution.The device physically measures 112x46x12.3 mm. The handset is light weight and only 90g including battery.

The candybar also includes features speakerphone with stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack port, stereo FM radio with RDS for the entertainment and giving superb musical experience to its users. It has 50 MB internal memory storage and 128 MB RAM. Its microSD card slot expands memory up to 16GB and 2GB card is included. Its 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash and secondary videocall camera gives oppurtunity for availing 3G services.

The handset runs on Symbian OS v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2 platform and is powered by an ARM 11 600 MHz processor.

In terms of communication, GPRS and EDGE class 32, HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0, as well as GPS with A-GPS support and Ovi Maps 3.0 are there. Messaging capabilities include support for SMS, AMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, IM and RSS feed.

Nokia C5 boasts of a robust Li-Ion 1050 mAh battery. It gives life expectancy of Up to 630 h (2G) / Up to 670 h (3G) in standby mode, and Up to 12 h (2G) / Up to 5 h (3G) in talk time mode, besides 34h of music playback.

Nokia C5 is available starting this week and can be bought for Rs. 7999.
